Please , admire this magnificent stretch of water of a surface of 33 hectares. It is the third of the department due to its surface (after the Lake Geneva and the lake of Annecy). Maximum depth : 19m. Length: 1320m. Width maxi: 235 m .
Fishing : regulated as in all the mountain lakes, it's opens only on first Saturday of April, after the cast iron of ices. Here is the chance to titillate numerous different species : Omble Chevalier, Truite Fario or Arc-en-Ciel, Vairon.
Activities : in summer, the lake works as a true leisure centre : canoe kayak, watched bathing from the first of July to the end of August, fishing, pony trekking, electric motor cars.
The Fires of the Lake : every second Saturday of August, Montriond's municipality organizes on this stretch of water, a spectacle sound and lights which attracts several thousand guests (free).
