Villages

Snuggled into the mountainside, La Forclaz's impressively steep slopes and sun-drenched position will not fail to impress you. There is an excellent bar & restaurant and B&B in the village centre.
In the heart of the village there is also a fine example of a XIXth century church with a typically Savoyard bulbous bell tower, restored in 1960.
Carry on up out of La Forclaz to visit the stunning alpine pastures and goat farm of Tréchauffé. You can sample the cheese and many other dishes in the restaurant there.
