Open to all visitors and residents alike: celebrated bell-maker Paccard will be unveiling its new bell for the abbey, which will be blessed at the start of the day to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the consecration of Aulps Abbey.
Following the blessing, a service is planned in the church ruins at 10.30am, followed by lunch for all visitors at 12pm. At 2.30pm, a concert of traditional Alpine music will be performed by “Les Pieds croisés", followed at 4pm by a talk on “Bells of Chablais” by Joseph Ticon, of the Académie Chablaisienne.
